My real world experience using both these tools for years is you won't cuss at it, and will have much more enjoyment using a larger capacity battery. If you cut a couple of twigs then put it back on charger then the 2.0 Ah is perfect for you. This is a good deal if you can find it available, even without the extra $20. I agree that the full MSRP is over-blown, but yeah this is easily worth the current price since you are getting the extended-run battery and charger (not sure if it is the fast charger or the regular small one).Sadly I think all the remaining Sears in my area have closed as of end of the last year.
A long history of good and bad times; they can blame the new retail economy but mostly they were looted and pillaged by financial guys who had no interest in actually keeping the business running in the long term. I've had both of these for about 2 years. Blower = Meh. It's okay for light duty like blowing a few leaves or some grass off a drive. The chainsaw is a little better, but IMO more of a beginner chainsaw. It's made for safety and light duty.
I've used it to cut some small branches. My biggest issue with it though is it goes through the bar oil tank exceptionally fast, so you're constantly having to fill it if you have a fair amount of work to do. The other issue I have is it tends to get mucked up under the bar and once you pull the cover, you have to make sure you clean it out thoroughly or you won't be able to adjust the chain. A lot of chainsaws have a bit of play for tightening up on the bar, but this one has next to none. Still though, for the price not bad.
